Scraptember has come and gone, but what a month it was! Thanks to everyone who shared their creations in the Sewcialists flickr pool. I’m excited to share them in today’s round-up!
Tops:
A print and solid Polly top from Claire
A pieced blouse from Sophie, who made this awesome schematic of her scrap sources.
Heather’s floral and solid Scout
Sara’s sweatshirt made from wool knits
Skirts & Pants:
Gillian’s Hudson pants with a floral scrap detail
Becky’s patchwork skirt in progress. What an undertaking!
Dresses:
Debbie’s leather-embellished tunic
Accessories & Unmentionables:
Shannon’s back to school pouches
Marilla’s leather bag, made from inter-generational scraps!
And from Sarah, a sewing accessory! She made a pincushion from scraps, stuffed with – guess what – more scraps!
For the kiddos:
Debbie’s Hide and Seek dresses
Meg’s Figgy’s rainb0w-winged Stellar tunic
Gillian’s super stylish toddler leggings
Big thanks to everyone who shared their projects this month; I was thoroughly inspired by all of them and I hope you were, too. If you made something for Scraptember that I somehow missed, please let me know and I’ll do a follow-up post.
And!! If you still feel like you have an excess of scraps – who doesn’t? – please carry on the festivities of Scraptember into the rest of the year!
Lots of great stuff here! I’m thoroughly impressed, particularly by those who were able to get classy adult garments out of scraps (and actually finish, unlike me!)
Your project is super ambitious and I’m so glad you shared it while it’s in progress! I can’t wait to see the finished skirt 🙂
Those are just amazing! I saw this was being done – sewing with scraps – and I couldn’t figure out one thing to do, but now I see so many clever ideas that I want to sew all of them for the rest of the year! Good job!
People really outdid themselves, didn’t they? You’ll have to share your what you end up making in the flickr pool 🙂
So much fun to see what everybody made!! I love both the scrappy dresses, especially. I’m very new to the sewcial world and I really admire how everyone supports each other. Proud to be a (brand new) sewcialist!
Wow – such a great range of makes!
