Hello Sewcialists! Are you ready for some #sewstripes inspiration? Becky here, of @sewbeckyjo, with your first Stripes Month Challenge round-up, and we ALL love round-ups, amirite? It’s like a fashion inspiration magazine of all your virtual sewing BFFs in one place. LOVE IT.
As usual: if we missed you, it may be because your Instagram profile is private, it wasn’t clearly marked as a new make for #sewstripes, or maybe Becky didn’t have enough coffee. If you feel your make was missed for February 1-10, please feel free to leave it in the comments.
Dresses
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE the mixing of stripes and florals like this Cleo dress:
Ruth has a fun directional mix-up dress that really works.
Love Dana’s style! For instant office attire, add amazing moto-jacket:
Color-blocking is always a win.
Jennifer looks amazing at 38 weeks!
Effortless chic:
Love the attention to detail!
Tilly and the Buttons patterns are really popular for this challenge.

Really skinny stripes can read as a solid from a distance, making for a nice subtle detail.
Jasper dresses are the ultimate secret pajamas.
Shirts
The shirts category is by far the most popular for the Stripes Challenge!
Love this color-blocked tween option.
This yellow makes my day so happy!
I almost didn’t even notice this is a sheer stripe! So very creative.
For those red carpet dreams….
Plaid: the next level in stripe matching!
I love “me and mini me” makes!

Ah, the age old question is solved: Polka dots AND stripes! Why choose?
This is amazing. They’re both entirely different striped patterns, but they go really well together. And now I want some strawberry jam…
These boatneck tees are making me swoon. Such a great option for transitional seasons.
More sunshine:
This Burda top with the great design lines is so cool, and makes yoga in January more comfortable.
This koi in stripes fabric is really fun:
Stripes for the littles are always a huge hit!

Stripes as chevrons AND as texture:
Pants
Starting off the pants section with immediate cuddle feels:
I now must go listen to Dexys Midnight Runners…these make me want to dance…
Stretchy stripes!
Skirt
I had a black and white chevron skirt from the chevron fabric trend, but Laura makes it a sustainable classic in this make.
Actual sunshine and a twirl!
Coats, Cardigans, Coatigans, and Such
Not too many in this category so I combined a few…kicking off with a vibrant lining by Jenn.
Sarah’s make reminds me of the 3-chord pop song: sure, it’s a simple make, but not simple to make extraordinary. Sarah definitely succeeds.
Comfy robes are always a necessity.
My hoodie-lovin’ heart sores:
The texture of this vest/cardigan/vestigan is delicious.
Other
The feet always deserve some love, and I’m a huge fan of slippers-as-scrap-busters.

Kimberly is giving me some serious beach jonesing!
Can you believe the participation in just the first week of Sew Stripes? What an amazing community we have! Are you inspired to join the February Sew Stripes Challenge?
So much inspiration here it was dizzying! 🙂 Beautiful makes – all of them! But I must admit that the checked dressing gown in red and white by Lucia Grace is the most gorgeous dressing gown I’ve EVER seen.
I know, right? Do you follow Lucia’s Instagram? She’s a sewing powerhouse!
What absolutely gorgeous garments and loads of inspiration. Fab. Xx
Amazing round-up! My favourite (after my Cleo of course 😉) is the cat elbow patches!!
I almost split the kids stuff into a different category but I kept the Cute Factor sprinkled throughout! 😀 I love them all. The tiny newborn pants make me audibly “aaawwww” every time.
Thank You! So much fun!
