It’s time to sew #pinkapril!
There are so many great pinks to choose from! I usually like magentas or mid-toned corals, but I avoid pastel pink like the plague. On other people, those delicate shades look great though! Which shades do you prefer?
As always the graphics are available in the Sewcialist Flickr group.
As it happens, #pinkapril is the last of the colours that originally planned out. That means we need YOUR help choosing what colours to sew next! We’ve done red, green, blue and now pink. What should we sew in June, August, and October?
Well, going by the rest of that thread rainbow, there’s still yellow, orange, and purple to go. (I know yellow isn’t a great color for a lot of people, but there’s a lot of great prints that incorporate yellow, too!)
Oooh, I like that way of looking at it! That would mean we’d be done a whole rainbow a year after we started, which would be nice… I’m sure by next year we’ll have different sewalong themes we’re itching to do! 😉
Awesome idea Becky!
Now we just need to decide (at random or logically) which colour will come first: yellow, orange or purple!? Orange feels like a fall colour to me, so maybe that would be good for October?
Love this idea of Becky! Yellow is an option since we can sew for someone else! I’m also excited about pinkapril! Pink is one of my favorite colours!
I like pink a lot too! I think it looks good on everyone!
Yay, I have a project planned that would work perfectly for this theme! Hopefully I can finish it before the end of the month.
I also really like Becky’s idea of completing the rainbow over the next few months. I actually really like yellow, orange, and purple! 🙂
Yellow and orange will be a stretch for me, but that’s a good thing!
Metallic! I know it’s not in the rainbow but it’s in the pot of gold at the end!!!
Oooh! Maybe once we finish the rainbow we could go into metallics, stripes, dots, textures etc? You’ll be the queen of metallics, I know!
I’m having a ‘shiny’ phase at the moment… I think it’s an addiction
I love the idea of the rainbow too! I’m hoping to take part this month for the first time!
Yay! What pink project do you have in mind?
The rainbow idea is brilliant, just like the pot of gold at the end!
Definitely orange for October!! I love the metallic’s as a pot of gold at the end!! Yellow could be fun for June since both are bright and sunny!!
Lots of pink sewing going on here at the moment! Photos/posts to follow soon. I agree that gold/metallics would be great for future projects. 🙂
Ooh, I am all over this! Pink is definitely one of my signature colours! I wear every shade except pastels; mostly raspberry, strawberry, and hot pink.
One of my fav colors! Linked up here: http://swoodsonsays.com/sew-a-long-calendar/
Yellow for Summer! Let the sunshine in!
Yellow! It’s such a happy color!
I think October should be “rust.”

Oh, I’m late. I just now found out about this but I sewed something pink week before last and posted it on my blog. How does this work? How can I be included. If it’s too late for pink maybe I can get in on yellow or orange.
